[It's not something he's used to hearing. It's time for a big hug.]

I don't know what I did to deserve you.

[A chuckle escapes her, and she angles her head to kiss him where she can. It happens to be the side of his chin.]

It has nothing to do with that. You make me happy, and that's the simplest way I can put it. Do you want me to elaborate more? [Kaname's only half joking. She will if he wants her to.]

[He laughs at the kiss, and returns it to her forehead.]

Better not. I'll turn all red. And ... and I wanna take a picture!

I'm still considering it. Red's a good color on you.

[For once, regarding the picture, Kaname shakes her head. She moves from his side to his lap, positioning herself to face him, a leg on either side oh his. Her arms rest on his shoulders as she smiles.]

I wanted to see your face this time. [Leaning in a little bit, she says it again.] I love you.

[No? No picture? That seems very unfair.

But probably for the best because his face flushes a moment later, though he's positively beaming. He has to fight the urge to pull her closer so he can hide his face.]

[He didn't get to say it properly before.]

[Actually, yes picture! Except Kaname's snagging his camera and snapping a shot of his wonderfully red beaming smile.]

I get to keep this one. [She leans forward and kisses his forehead right between his brows.]

[That smile quickly morphs to surprise. And then a laugh at the kiss.]

I think right now you'd probably give me your camera if I asked.

[Of course she never would, but teasing him about it is just as fun. Still sitting on his lap and facing him, Kaname's expression grows a little more serious.]

You know, I wanted to tell you when I went to speak with you after everything that happened last month.

[The final thing she's been keeping from him.]

You wouldn't dare.

[That is his camera, the most sacred of possessions. Don't even joke! (He probably would give it to her, though.)]

Wh-- You did? [And he'd gone and ruined everything.] S-sorry...

No, I wouldn't.

[His apology has her shaking her head, smile softening. She moves one hand so her fingers can tangle in his hair.]

I did, but don't apologize, we've already moved past that. I'm telling you so you know I've been thinking about it, too. [Kaname leans forward and relaxes against him, head resting in the crook of his neck. Her hand moves from his hair to rest on his chest opposite her.]

I'm really happy right now.

[this_loser]

[He almost apologizes again, but presses his lips shut. It's easy to get his arms around her like this, and he snuggles down into a more comfortable position.]

Me, too. Like, happier than I've been in a long time.

[axi]

[Her chuckle can be felt against him, and she hums a little.]

Good, I don't want to be the only one. [Idly, she starts to draw little patterns on his shirt with her finger.]

If you ever decide you want to, just know I'd love to have you on my ship.

R-really?

[He's both baffled and elated. That sobers pretty quickly, however.]

I - That would be ... amazing. But ... I mean, I know Noct can take care of himself just fine. But with Iggy and Gladio not here, I feel like I should stay where I am...

Of course. [If he wasn't himself, she'd be surprised she has to say it. Still, it's endearing in a way. Kaname kisses the underside of his chin. Being held by him is absolutely wonderful for her.]

I know, and that's why I'm not requesting you transfer. I just wanted you to know you'd absolutely be welcomed there. Honestly, your dedication is one of the things that has me feeling the way I do.

[Y'know. The whole loving him thing.]

It means a lot. That you'd want me there. [He needs to scoot down a bit, so she can kiss more than his chin. And he can kiss more than the top of her head.] Thanks for understanding.

Just because I understand doesn't meant I'm not a little disappointed you know. [Kaname's still smiling, scooting with him to make it difficult on purpose.]

I do want you with me. In the past couple weeks, I've noticed I sleep better with you there, too. You're sort of stuck now.

I'm sorry. [He's going to keep scooting until he either gets what he wants, or they fall off the bed.] We can have all the sleep-overs, though.

Don't think we won't.

[Once their heads are off the pillows, Kaname all but rolls on top of him so she's hovering above him with a grin.]

[This is a lot better than falling off the bed. He snorts back a laugh and grins up at her.] Hey. How's it going?

Pretty well, but it could easily be better.

[There's a look in her eyes he should know well by now. She leans down and whispers something to him.]

[He knows that look. Doesn't stop his grinning. He sits up just enough to pull his shirt off and fling it across the room.]

All of a sudden, my view got a lot better.

[Kaname lowers herself and snuggles against his side, kissing his neck lightly before looking at him with a smile.]

I still love you.

[There's that blush again.]

Oh, good. That didn't change in the last... [He raises an arm to look at his bracelet, which is very much not a watch.] ...fifteen minutes?

[The arm drops and he grins over at her.] Still love you too.

[She does like that blush of his.]

It did not. [Kaname reaches over for his right hand and removes the bracelet as she does on occasion. There's a kiss placed on the spot beneath it.]

Good, I don't want you changing your mind.

[It doesn't matter how many times she does it, it still makes his breath stutter.]
