Um. I dunno. Kinda achy and tired, but my head doesn't hurt so bad. [He brings the soup closer and moves the spoon through it, trying to decide if he's actually hungry. (He'll eat it regardless.)] Wow, this smells really good!
[ He can't help but give a little smile at Prompto's excitement at the sight of the soup. ]
It's something that I made for Noct whenever he was sick.
[ Noct, gods, worry hits him hard yet again. If Prompto glances over at Ignis again, the man appears to be more tired and worried than from when Prompto last saw him. ]
[ The fact that Prompto is asking Ignis if he's alright startles him a bit, but he sighs and moves over to sit on the edge of the bed, letting his hands fall into his lap. ]
You're not the only one who's bedridden.
It's Noct.
[ How much should he tell? Ignis has the feeling that Pyra doesn't just reveal a part of herself like that to just anyone. He ultimately decides on the short version for now. ]
He's been injured enough to where he needs to rest and recover.
[ Pyra and Ardyn saved his life and for that, he's thankful for. ]
[He sets the bowl of soup on the small table beside his bed and grips the edge of his blanket, as if he might just bolt across the hall to see for himself. The only thing stopping him is the realization that if Noct needs rest and recovery, then he probably shouldn't be exposed to Prompto's illness.]
[ When he hears the bowl being set down, he moves to grab onto one of Prompto's hands, giving it a firm squeeze. ]
Easy, Prompto.
[ Ignis has the gut feeling that Prompto was close to bolting out of the room himself. ]
He'll be alright. There's not a lot we can do for him now besides to let him rest.
[ What happened indeed though, he doesn't know where to go from here without breaching Pyra's trust in him. He'd only found out himself a few hours ago and is still processing everything. ]
Please just trust me for right now, Prompto. [ Hoping that Prompto won't push the what happened question here. ]
He's touched by Prompto's concern for him too, he knows that he looks awful from the night and morning he's had. Pyra had brought Noctis home the night before and haven't given him much of an explanation until a few hours ago. Ignis hadn't slept much since.
He keeps a good grip on Prompto's hand in his. ]
I'll be alright, Pyra's going to help with taking care of you and Noct.
[ He won't be alone in taking care of the pair, but he'll still push himself a little bit harder to take care of them. ]
... Would you like some company? [ His own way of asking that he doesn't want to be alone right now. ]
[It is good to know Ignis isn't alone in taking on the burden of taking care of both Prompto and Noctis. Pyra is a good person, and reliable and generous.]
[ Again, he's surprised by that comment, Prompto's the one who's sick, not him. But, his friends know him better than that, they know that Ignis will push himself to take care of the ones that he loves.
Prompto's smile is lost on him sadly, but it helps to know that his friend wants the company too.
He debates with himself for a minute, but decides to heck with it. He tugs on their joined hands and moves to pull the blonde into a tight embrace, clutching at him tightly. He's not worried about catching Prom's illness, he can count the number of times that he's been ill on one hand and it isn't much. ]
I need you.
[ Noct's out of commission and Pyra's off elsewhere at the moment; besides, he trusts Prompto completely.
Ignis nearly broke apart when he'd heard that Noctis almost died, but he quickly regained his composure, he won't break apart here either. He just needs a moment to breathe after everything that's happened. ]
[He wasn't expecting the embrace. It takes him by surprise, but only for a moment. He releases Ignis' hand, but only so he can get both arms firmly around him.]
