[After this conversation, Noctis is Prompto-hunting. He'll check the house first, since it's early evening and most people are probably home by now, but if Prompto isn't there he'll be sending a message to try and track him down.]
[ With the arrangements all in place and a homemade cheesecake freshly baked then cooled, it's then that she bids Prompto to fetch Noctis back from wherever he might be today. In the meantime, she'll be wiping down the counters and fussing over making the last arrangements for this little get-together, such as setting out utensils, the glasses, and the bottle of wine.
She also primes the rented projector for when they're inevitably going to do a slideshow of pictures. That, too, is the most important part of this, besides Noctis himself.
With all of that done, she may only wait until the two men return, brushing her hands upon her apron nervously but excitedly. She hopes this all goes well! ]
[While Pyra holds the fort at home, Prompto scurries off to find Noctis.
He hits up all the usual haunts until he locates his friend and convinces him that he needs to come home. Like, it's not an emergency or anything, but maybe right now? Please?
...Oh, maybe he should have had Noct close his eyes before they got to the door.
[After this incredibly weird meeting, Noctis arrives at the house and deposits a large box on the kitchen counter. If Prompto is home, he'll be called over to retrieve his... gift (???), and if not Noctis will putter around the place keeping himself busy until his friend finds his way back. He's definitely not dropping this on Prompto without a heads up.]
[Prompto is home, in his room, puttering around. But when he hears the front door open and shut, he wanders on out to see who has come home. He has a grin for his best friend, but his eyes land on the box on the counter.]
[ He was very much aware that he just missed the blonde's birthday by a few days. He had gotten used to the kitchen a fair bit, memorizing the layout of where the pots, pans, plates and other things were hidden. Ignis had started off with simple meals to get his footing back into the kitchen field.
He wanted to do something for Prompto's birthday, especially after he had stood up for him after Gladio's vote to leave Ignis behind. He'd understood where Gladio was coming from, don't get him wrong, he was hurt by it nonetheless.
He'd waited for a prefect opportunity for the pair to have the house to themselves. He'd more or less figured out the replicator's buttons to get his own mug of Ebony coffee. Ignis is sitting at the kitchen table, waiting on Prompto to make himself known. ]
Ah, Prompto. If you could spare a moment of your time?
[Prompto is not quiet as he exits his room and makes his way through the house. No doubt, Ignis can hear him moving into the common area, humming nonsense as he fiddles with his camera and says hello the household pets.
He skips to a stop when he hears Ignis addressing him and swings toward the table.]
[ After the soup's been made, his makes his way over to Prompto's room, giving a knock on the door first. ]
Prompto?
[ Ignis is not sure what to do here, how much he should tell Prompto of what happened, Noct and Prompto are best friends so he deserves to know.
He'd already been worrying himself silly over Prompto's illness and the sleepwalking spell, now Noct's been injured and will need time to rest and recover from it. He's incredibly worried over the pair. Understandably so. They're his family and his closest friends.
He wraps his hand over the doorknob and balances the bowl of soup in his other hand. He doesn't move to open the door just yet, waiting on a response from his friend first. ]
[The answer comes in a tone lacking it's usual pep and warmth.]
Yeah, it's open.
[Prompto watches the door from his bed, and resists the urge to hop and open it himself. He should be more helpful, he thinks, but he's comfortably curled up under his blankets, and honestly not all that keen on moving.]
[ On this day, she's decided to help him a bit out of bed. Already she's helped dress him for the outside: hat, mittens, a thick coat, and-- of course, a hot cup of cocoa. Despite still recovering, he's made much progress, and she knows as well as anyone else that the best exercise for lungs is, quite simply, movement.
So she helps him walk just a little bit through their living room to their porch, arm supporting his, to their porch and outside. It's chilly, but it's not unbearable-- especially not with Pyra beside him. She's a walking heater, and she's here to keep him comfortable (and move him back inside, if it proves too unbearable).
Horus, Somnus' falcon, pokes its head out of the structure to stare at them, and Pyra allows the raptor to fly to her free arm. Unbothered by its talons upon her skin, she still keeps her attention on Prompto ]
[He's bundled up, he's got a warm drink, a warm friend. He's apologized a few times already for needing the help, but he's so grateful for it. And for the opportunity to get up and move around a bit. He doesn't even care that it's cold. He hates being cooped up.]
Not at all. [He sighs, content.] I missed the outside.
[ The smell of paint is awful in his room, it's at the worst stages of it. Enough for Ignis to grab his pillow and blanket and take refuge in one of the spare rooms.
It's time to have a rough talk with Prompto, he'd asked him to meet Ignis in the spare room that night. It's always hard, talking about what went on in Altissa.
He'd told Noctis himself and Gladio knows through the others on the train. It isn't fair to keep this from Prompto, assuming he doesn't know about it. Ignis doesn't want to keep such things from him anymore so he's willing to open up.
He sighs quietly to himself as he sits on the bed, leaning back against the wall. He's draped the blanket over himself, quietly waiting for Prompto to show up. ]
[Tony hadn't been in the city very long, but enough to sleep off that first night weirdness and feel comfortable enough with inviting someone over to Gladio (and his) townhouse.
He explained to Gladio that he was 'checking on something' with Prompto to make sure Friday's sensors were working correctly but it involved the young man being scanned. He wanted the Shield there as support for Prompto and as someone who could attest to the fact Tony wouldn't do anything questionable. (Never mind the whole, not telling Gladio specifically what he's searching for thing).
He made cookies- chocolate with a little spicy kick- and tea that was on the coffee table. However, his suit of armor was standing in one corner by the couch and he was holding the helmet, talking to the AI, and pestering Gladio as they waited for Prompto to show up.]
Friday, would you scan and see how much Gladio is 'stuffing' today?
He doesn't appear to have any extra padding.
I think you need to do a more thorough scan.
[ooc: Italics is Friday talking. Should we do the order Tony, Gladio, Prompto unless otherwise noted?]
[It was a bad idea to be a dick to someone who was standing right next to you. So of course there was no effort at all in Gladio lifting a hand to smack Tony upside the head.]
Keep it up, Buttercup, and I'll stuff you in that suit backward and upside down.
[He sounded pissed off, all deep rumble and gravel, but there was no mistaking that smile. Gladio was trying not to laugh, because laughing would only encourage the bastard.]
[It was a Monday evening and business at the bar was slow, so that left Tony with too much time on his hands. He started coming up with ideas- always a dangerous thing!]
[It had taken him a few days to get his head around everything. It had also taken those same days to try and work out what he wanted to do with the things he'd learned. He knew that, first, he needed to talk to Prompto. That was something that just wouldn't leave him alone no matter how hard he tried. It as hard going because on one hand he wanted to be angry with him, but on the other... he understood.
Getting angry was the last thing he wanted to do though. So the few days it took to work through things were also just enough time to settle his mind.
That morning he started of with a text asking Prompto to meet him at the botanical gardens. He might have showed up at their front door, but he wasn't entirely sure of his reception there. So a neutral place was better.
Gladio showed up a while before Prompto and sat himself down on a bench in one of his favourite areas. He sat their, legs outstretched and crossed at the ankles, head tipped back and eyes closed. It was relaxing here.]
[He's heard what happened with the heist and jail, and scrolled through Gladio's rant on the network. The whole thing has him torn, so he's decided to keep his head down and not get involved. Not until the dust has settled some. Which is why he's a little apprehensive when he receives the text from Gladio, worried that his silence was noticeable.
But he certainly not going to avoid his friend. There isn't anything going on they can't work through! And there's nothing saying this meeting is even going to be about that. He's probably worrying for nothing!
So he shows up at the park at the agreed-upon time, dropping onto the bench next to Gladio.]
[It takes some time for a reply to come through. He's not sure he even wants to leave the house, much less go somewhere public. But he drags himself up and hits send.]
k
[He arrives short time later, peeking in the door to make sure Gladio is actually there before moving to the bar. He...looks like shit.]
[Between herding locals and avoiding - or fighting - giant, hungry worms, it's been nothing but hectic for days on end. He fortunate to have found some time and a place to rest when he hears his communicator chirp and digs it out of his pocket. He expects maybe a text from one of his friends, or someone asking for assistance.
What he doesn't expect is that name on his screen. He has to read it a few times before it sinks in.
[ The very first thing Ignis did is when they got the all clear is dive for his Ebony stash. The next thing he does is check out his old room, everything is exactly as he remembers it. He traces his fingers along the wall, feeling the mural that Noctis had did for him for his birthday. The night sky, a way to "see" it himself.
He pauses then, slowly moving to where his piano stands, the one that Pyra got for his birthday. Well, a few days before. He hits a few keys before checking out his other items. The braille learning book and cookbook sits untouched.
He's still wishing that he could say that he missed Prompto, but he can't since his departure was in a blink of an eye for him. The best he could do is make up for the lost time.
Prompto. With all of the craziness happening about when he'd gotten back, they really didn't get time for a proper reunion. The best they could do is sit around and talk, and get Ignis caught up with everything.
He moves out of his room and towards Prom's, giving it a few short knocks to make himself known before he opens the door, stepping through and shutting it. ]
You in here, Prompto?
[ Regardless, he wants a moment with his boyfriend now that things are settled. ]
[The business with the worms has calmed down, and Prompto is happy to have some time to come down from the chaos. Though he hasn't been completely idle.
He's got all the things Gladio left behind spread out on his bed, not entirely sure what to do with them. There's a chance Gladio could return, like Iggy had, so perhaps storing everything away would be best.
And there's the bar to think about. That alone is almost overwhelming, and he worries frequently that he's made a mistake in taking it on. But he's had plenty of encouragement and support. Ignis will be right there with him.
Speaking of. He hears the knock, and smiles when Ignis steps into his room.]
Yeah, I'm here. Hold up, I'll clear a space for you.
[He starts shoving items back in the box. They can be dealt with later.]
