[He makes a dive for the bedside table, pulling open a drawer, and comes back with said book. He almost hands it over, but stops to brush some flour off the cover first.]
[ Have an amused look Prompto, as he hears you moving about. ]
Hang on to that, if I'm going to teach you how to cook, you can study it. [ It'll do him no good to have it anyway. ] We can start off with some simple ones later.
Indeed she has, [ Ignis murmurs quietly, getting his other arm around Prompto's form.
He's known Noctis for so long now, he doesn't know what he'll do without him. Or Prompto. Or Gladio, but he's gone now. ] ... were you okay during that, Prompto?
[ The more Prompto talks, the more Ignis squeezes him against his chest, shifting and tucking Prom close to him. Noct's never that forward when he needs help, so that's a surprise to hear.
Ignis left and now Gladio's gone, so it's natural for Prompto to assume that Noctis might have left too, leaving him the only one left. But, Ignis has returned and Noctis is alright.
Ignis shifts his grip into a protective one, stroking gently at Prompto's back, coaxing whatever pain he may be in out. He's quietly telling Prom that he's here, he's here and he doesn't plan on going anywhere else tonight. ]
[It's a bad habit of his, to brush everything off with an "it's okay" or "I'm fine". Honerva asked him once if that was how he felt, or how he told himself he should feel. He refrains from doing so this time, instead closing his eyes and burying himself in Iggy's comfort.
They lost Gladio, but Noct is okay. He's still here, and he's safe now. And Ignis is here. Right here, where Prompto can see him and hear him and touch him.
So it's not entirely okay, but it's better. It's good.]
[ Prompto isn't alone, Ignis is bad at asking for help or admitting when he's not okay. He's getting better at both of those things.
Ignis gets it, he understands Prompto's feelings and this is hardly the first time Prom's found Noctis in rough shape; finding both Ignis and Noctis on the altar. It's never easy hearing that one of them is in trouble like that.
Ignis tilts his head a bit and rests comfortably on top of Prompto's head, one of his hands rubbing at Prom's back in a soothing gesture now. He doesn't say a thing, just offering up his silent comfort until the other is ready to talk again and he's calmed down enough. ]
[ Ignis lets out a soft happy sigh at the kiss, though he pauses at the question. He was fine talking to Noctis, mostly since it came from him this time around. It's never easy though to hear such things. ]
I'm [ fine, almost tumbles out, but he pauses at that too. ]
... not sure what to think. This place is supposed to be safe and yet he's almost died twice here. I'm thankful he's alive.
[Prompto hums.] I wouldn't say this world is safe. Safer than home, for sure. Safer than the Fleet had been. But definitely un-safe things have happened here.

You wouldn't happen to know where my recipe book got to, would you? [ He's teasing of course.
Ignis steps forward and takes a spot next to Prompto. ]

Right here. Safe and sound.

[He pulls the books close to his chest, like it's precious. And then frowns and looks down at it.]
There's simple ones?
[Because, aside from toast, which he still only made well half the time, everything in the little book seemed out of his skill-set.]
no subject
Maybe not that simple to a newcomer.
[ Ignis sighs and gets an arm around Prompto's back. ]
You were correct in encouraging me to speak to Noct; he told me everything. We can't very well leave him alone, can we?
no subject
He leans into Ignis, both arms going around him.]
Seems that way. Lucky we've got Pyra to help us out, huh? She's been a life saver. Literally.

No. [He tucks himself closer to Ignis.] I got a text from Noct. It just said "help". By the time I got home, the worst was over.
[He goes quiet for a second before adding:]
The armiger wasn't working. I thought...I thought he might have disappeared. Or...
