[ Little by little, his strength will return to him. She believes it will.
Pyra gives him a bit of a nudge. ]
Before you know it, you'll be back to getting up at dawn to go running. [ She'll join him, of course, if needed. And perhaps they can recreate what they had done the first time they ran together, stopping to take selfies at various landmarks. ]
Oh, you'd know I'd do that anyway if I could. [ Spoiling him, she means. But Prompto is also a busybody, he has his hobbies and so on. It's not like she'll get this many chances to be beside him outside, taking a moment to take in the moment with him.
She sighs a soft 'hm', then, turning her gaze out towards their garden. A bit more reflectively: ]
Besides, ...you spoil us constantly. [ With his smile, with his energy and optimism, and so much more. ]
[Can't help but feel better when she says things like that.
Biting his lip, he looks her way, concerned--for her, for Noctis.]
Is that okay? Ignis didn't seem to want to tell me. ["Trust me" he'd said. So Prompto hadn't pressed. But he doesn't want to be ignorant to what is happening to his friends - even if he can't really help them.]
If we can stay outside? I'm not ready to go in yet.
[ And so they sit. She remains beside him, still, her shoulder against his as she looks out into their garden. ] It's... because it has to do with me. [ With herself, and her secrets, and the fear involved in not being brave enough to tell others more of herself. So deeply ingrained that fear is, that it's left Prompto, too, in the dark.
It shouldn't be this way.
Pyra can keep her own fears to herself, that revealing her inhuman status (that others might already know or have guessed about) will cause either rejection or-- worse, desire for the power the crystal promises. But for Pormpto's sake, she can overcome them. She must overcome them.
So with a intake of air, she begins, ] An object of my world appeared the other week. It's called the Omega Fetter and it... belongs to me.
It was corrupted, though, and dangerous.
We thought that-- Noct and I-- we both thought that it could be stored within his armory, so it would be safe from the world. We didn't anticipate that it would... [ A pause, as if she's struggling. ] hurt him so.
[ She quiets after a moment. ] I... jumped into his soul to repair the Fetter, to save him. But he nearly... [ Died, she wants to say, but she can't bring herself to say it. ]
[He gives her his full attention. Doesn't even really see the flowers. And though he has questions - What is an Omega Fetter? How did she jump into his soul?
No.... No. [ She shakes her head, then bows it after. ] I repaired it-- I undid its corruption. [ Briefly, her brow furrows. Pyra isn't certain what caused the corruption, exactly, but she can guess. Regardless, that mystery isn't important right now. ]
I'm so sorry, Prompto. Hurting him... it was never our intention.
[ She looks at him, smiling a bit. And while she's still weary from guilt-- that has eased, considerably-- she's obviously reassured at his hand grasping hers.
Pyra nods her head. ]
He is okay, now. Recovering. Just like you are.
[ Now, her smile widens a bit more, as if she's a bit in awe. ] It's really amazing, how strong the both of you are.
[ From what Ignis told her-- ] I wouldn't call it just a cold, but... [ --He had been severely ill, nearly frozen, collapsed. It's by no small miracle that Ignis had been there for him. In light of that, it was (rather, is) a feat. ]
...Mm. It seems that even that can't shake your optimism.
True... [ There are many things many have with which to content, both internal and external... ] But--
[ She looks at him pointedly, brushing her elbow against him, as if it were a small prod to remind him of something. ] That doesn't make yours any less.
[ Never would they be. Still, that he's able to smile afterwards shows his resilience. ] I just-- want you to know that, okay?
[ With that, at least, taken care of, she can ease up a bit on being so insisting. He can try, and that's the most she can ask for him of this moment; if he forgets, then... she'll just have to try, herself, to be there to remind him.
Pyra smiles again, giving him a small nudge. ]
I wish I had known sooner... that you weren't feeling well, I mean. [ She keeps her tone light, as if she's fussing playfully at him: ] It would have been the perfect excuse to spoil you more.

Yeah. Can't wait. Just need to get my energy back.
[That was the worst thing, next to being restless, the bone deep exhaustion that he just couldn't shake.]
no subject
With Ignis' cooking, I'm thinking you'll be back running laps in, oh.... [ An exaggeration-- ] a week! [ A pause, then: ] No, maybe three days!
no subject
[Though he doubts he'll be able to get away with running off before he's more fully recovered. Not under Iggy's watchful eye (so to speak).]
I've been spoiled. By both of you.
no subject
Oh, you'd know I'd do that anyway if I could. [ Spoiling him, she means. But Prompto is also a busybody, he has his hobbies and so on. It's not like she'll get this many chances to be beside him outside, taking a moment to take in the moment with him.

I don't know about that. I haven't done anything.
[Are smiles and optimism enough? He feels like it isn't enough. Especially not right now.]
Noct got hurt and I didn't even know until Ignis told me about it.
no subject
...But at his next comment, she gives is arm a small squeeze, glancing away as to hide a fleeting look of guilt.
Here is the tricky part-- but Prompto more than anyone has a right to know. ]
...I can tell you about it more, if you want to hear. But I think we should sit down, first.

...He didn't. But now he's weak.
no subject
The first thing he needs to know is this:]
Can it still hurt him?
no subject
I'm so sorry, Prompto. Hurting him... it was never our intention.
no subject
Of course it wasn't! I know you'd never hurt him intentionally. And... [He reaches for her hand.] You saved him, right? He'll be okay. Because of you.

Yeah. See? Everything's fine. Or will be soon.
[He turns to look at the flowers, ducking his head with a soft laugh.] Dunno if it's a big feat of strength to get over a cold.
no subject
...Mm. It seems that even that can't shake your optimism.
[ That "will be soon". That is meaningful. ]
no subject
We've got enough problems. Someone's got to keep their head up.

Well, if I'd known you were going to spoil me, I would've said something.
no subject
[ She jests right back-- although, hypocritically, she does plenty of the latter, too. She's trying not to, but. It's a long journey. ]
